And from the other side of the door, Reese hears ragged breathing. Were she older, she would pick out the sound of sobbing. As it is, she doesn't know what to make of it. But, of course, Inalia quickly picks herself up, grabs the knucklebones, and goes to play with Reese. While Reese is having a wonderful day, Inalia is having a terrible one. While Marek is having a pursuing day, Kenik is having a pursuant one. The pursuit ends first.
